GENERAL SUMMARY:
The candidate is responsible for answering and screening incoming calls, coordinating activities at the nurses station; assisting in transcription of physicians orders using the HBO system; recording and filing of information in the patient's records accurately and timely.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· The candidate must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
· Computer experience; typing of 40 wpm.
· Medical terminology, strong interpersonal and communication skills; customer satisfaction skills;
· Good verbal and written communication skills.
· Must be flexible, versatile and willing to respond to changing priorities.
· The candidate must be organized, accurate, detail oriented, have the ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet demands and work in a high stress environment. 

Required Length or Type of Experience:
One year of secretarial experience is necessary with certification of completion in an office or medical assistant training program preferred.
